Ebony Landouw loves coming to school at St Michael’s, Gordonvale and says that she has a “tribe” of friends.
Nothing really special about that you might think, except at her last school, Ebony confided that she sometimes didn’t have friends.
According to school principal, Lea Martin, Ebony thinks St Michael’s is a great school and different to other schools because the children are really nice and friendly and they try hard in class and really want to learn.
She also reports that Ebony has loved changing schools because she believes that the learning is better and that the teachers really care about the children in the class.
Ebony’s mum, Kim Landouw loves the small community feel of St Michael’s and says that they have been made to feel very welcome at the school.
Mrs Martin said that Ebony was tangible proof of St Michael’s School living out its values of Faith, Learning, Respect, Trust and Community.
“Over the past few years, St Michael’s has transformed itself through the adoption of our school values which underpin everything we do and the development of a culture which supports the social-emotional wellbeing of our students,” she said.
