At St Michael’s we communicate with families in a number of ways.
Parent Permission Slips
Sent out via email, this slip prompts parents to complete the permission process.
The St Michael’s Parent Portal is a secure space where parents can access information regarding their child’s progress, parent specific information about the school, manage their own contact details and notify the school of any absences. It is an essential link for parents as it will be your first port of call to obtain forms, documents, information and to check our school calendar and download report cards.
Parent / Teacher Communications
Parents are welcome to meet with classroom teachers or the principal to discuss any matter. If parents are seeking an appointment, they are to contact the classroom teachers to arrange a mutually suitable time to meet (before or after school). An appointment with the principal can be arranged by contacting the school office.
Parent Teacher Online (PTO)
Parent Teacher Online allows parents and carers to log in online from the comfort of your home or office and make bookings for teacher interviews during allocated interview periods.
Assemblies are held every Friday at 2:10 pm, with our school community usually gathering in the school hall. Parents are welcome to attend.
The Seesaw App is a tool that allows our teachers to integrate parents into classroom learning. The app is a student-driven digital portfolio and learning management system that empowers students to independently document what they are learning and share it with their teachers, classmates and parents.
Distributed every fortnight, our newsletter informs our community of up-to-date happenings and information. It is the school’s official medium of communication with parents. You can subscribe to our newsletter here.
Children use their diaries to record homework, special classes and school events. Regular use of diaries helps to teach our students about organisation and planning.
